Youth Choir Co-Director
Marianne Larsen was born and raised in Dallas, TX where she first learned to love music. Her first choral experiences were in her grade school and Garland All-City Girls' Choir and continued through high school where she auditioned and placed in the top 2nd Sopranos in the Texas All-State Choir in 1997. She continued on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Brigham Young University, with emphasis in K-12 Choral Education. She has maintained her experience and developed her skills through many different avenues including teaching in a Junior High School, offering private voice and piano lessons, and directing numerous volunteer choirs of all ages. Her most notable experiences in the Tri-Cities include: Artistic Director of TCYC's forte! and co-directing the 110+ voice Relief Society Christmas Choir for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She has co-arranged several pieces for this choir and enjoys creating unique pieces that meet the needs of the choir. She currently resides in South Richland with her husband and best friend, Kimball, where they are raising their large, beautiful family. She is thrilled to be a part of the Mid-Columbia Mastersingers team and looks forward to sharing in their vision of spreading the power and influence of choral music.
